Salt Light Baptist Church
Waveland, MS

Doyle Moore was born on April 5, 1946, and Linda on December 16, 1948. Doyle grew up in the Leetown Community near Picayune, Mississippi, where his father pastored a local BMA church. After graduating from Hancock North Central High School in 1963, Doyle entered military service. He trained as a surgical technician and served in South Korea at the 121st Evacuation Hospital before completing his service at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

In 1966, Doyle trusted Christ as his Savior after hearing his younger brother preach. Later that year, he enrolled at Southeastern Baptist College in Laurel, Mississippi. During the summer of 1967, he surrendered to God’s call to ministry. Doyle and Linda began dating that same year and were married on August 17, 1968.

As they sought God’s direction, both attended Bible college while working to support their education. Feeling led to further ministry preparation, they moved to Arkansas and enrolled at Central Baptist College in Conway. There, Doyle was called to pastor Cleveland Baptist Church, where he was ordained in 1970. God later led them to serve at Valley View Baptist Church in Wynne, Arkansas, where He blessed them with three daughters: Kara, Rebecca, and Rachel.

In 1976, the Lord called Doyle and Linda to the Philippines to begin what would become their life’s work in missions. With God’s provision and guidance, they founded a Bible college and faithfully served there for 41 years, helping train generations of Christian leaders. In 2017, they returned to the United States, where they continue serving the Lord through missions ministry along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Through every season of life, Doyle and Linda have experienced God’s faithfulness and remain grateful for the privilege of serving Him.
